 Your internet server has a lot of information about you through your IP address including the websites that you visit, the messages and data that you exchange over the net and so on. You location can easily be traced via your IP address A lot of websites, service providers, advertisers and marketers keep tab of your online activities to know more about you. Isnt it a violation of your privacy? Through your IP address any miscreant can also trace your location and activities and cause problems for you. You cannot do away with your IP address but to stay safe you can certainly hide it.
There are several software tools that are effective in hiding your IP address.
1. Proxy server - Proxy servers act like mediators between the user and the web servers. It sends requests on your behalf using its own identification so that your user identity remains hidden. Proxy servers however are known to slow down the speed and be unreliable
2. Anonymizer - Its a proxy server that has its own interface. |
